Designing a nature-inspired experience: the impact of restaurant's visual identity on its guests

Cordo.22 is a newly opened restaurant and entertainment complex located in Lithuania, boasting an international cuisine and a modern minimalist approach. The venue is situated in a long-standing, now-renovated building with large panoramic windows and plant installations inside, creating a close-to-nature atmosphere.

The Cordo.22 team needed a strong brand identity that conveyed their values and vision, including a logo design, brand book, brochure, and website design. The brand identity needed to be unique, elegant, minimalist, and represent the venue's close-to-nature atmosphere. The website also needed to be modern, engaging, and user-friendly, with features such as contact forms, table reservations, event consultations, and online ordering.

Logo Design & Concept

We created a unique, elegant and minimalist brand mark for Cordo.22 with a classic serif font - a symbol of elegance and timelessness - in the name and a sans-serif minimalist font for the subtitle, which adds a modern touch. The logo icon is an abstract symbol of three feathers and pine twigs in a square, representing the restaurant's connection to nature and standing out from competitors (being “outside the box”).

Visual Concept & Brand Book

We formed a bold color palette and selected typefaces to match the identity of the restaurant. The color palette features red inspired by the accents in the restaurant's interior and a dark forest green that represented nature and calmness. The pastel colors complements the palette and conveyes a cozy atmosphere.

In regards to the typefaces, serif font family for headings perfectly conveys the mood of storytelling, creating a heartfelt and an elegant image. The family of sans-serif fonts for body gives the brand a modern and playful tone.All of this together with correct logo usage, imagery, iconography and other important constituents was added to a brand book of Cordo.22.
